Marble is a unique material that has been used for centuries in architecture, art, and decoration due to its natural beauty and durability. However, for marble to take on an aesthetic form, it must be processed. Today, thanks to technology, these processes can be carried out with much greater precision and creativity. Two modern methods that stand out in marble processing are CNC cutting and waterjet cutting technologies.

CNC cutting is a system that operates with computer-controlled machines. It delivers highly successful results when working with hard stones like marble that require intricate detailing. This method is especially preferred for processes such as engraving patterns, carving text, or creating reliefs on marble surfaces. CNC machines apply the designed pattern directly onto the marble surface with great precision. Thanks to this method, a wide variety of patterns — from classical motifs to modern lines — can be easily applied to marble.

Waterjet cutting, on the other hand, is a method that uses water sprayed at extremely high pressure to cut materials. Special abrasive materials are added to the water, allowing it to cut through marble smoothly at the point of contact. One of its biggest advantages is that it cuts without generating heat, which prevents any discoloration or structural changes in the stone. With waterjet cutting, complex patterns, fine details, or mosaic-style applications can be achieved with ease.

Both technologies offer great convenience and creative potential in marble craftsmanship. While CNC enables deep surface processing, waterjet allows for fine and sharp lines. When used together, these methods can produce works that are both aesthetically impressive and technically flawless.

Today, these technologies are not limited to large-scale projects; they are also frequently seen in home decoration. We can observe the processed beauty of marble in kitchen countertops, bathroom sinks, wall panels, and table designs. CNC and waterjet cutting elevate marble from a simple building material to a true work of art.
